1st Contact was founded by Reg Bamford
Reg Bamford founded 1st Contact in 1995 to help the many residents of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa move to the UK with their tax and accounting needs.
What started as a small office in the Arches at Embankment soon grew into a thriving business in Piccadilly and Bow Lane. From our humble beginnings, we now offer contractor accounting, tax returns, immigration, forex, shipping and travel services, among others.
1st Contact Australia opens its doors
Soon after the opening of the 1st Contact London office, we realised we were helping many citizens from Australia and New Zealand apply for visas and move to the UK. In order to be closer to this important market, 1st Contact Australia was born.
What started as UK immigration assistance service, has grown to include foreign exchange services, lifestyle advice and Australian visa processing.
After 20 years, this market is still one of our largest and most-valued client bases.
